The idea, first reported by the Associated Press, is to use a process called reverse osmosis (RO) to dissolve the vessel inside a hollow metal plate, making it difficult for water to escape and make it easy for the water to drain.
When the plate is submerged in a water source, the water is pumped back up to the surface and the pressure inside the hollow plate pushes the water up to a pressure chamber inside the sink.
When water reaches the chamber, it can then be drawn out and used for washing dishes, and it’s not just a one-time use.
The technology could help prevent many kidney infections, such as cystic fibrosis.
According to the AP, the new system uses a combination of reverse omnicrafting (RO), an additive process that involves using a small amount of water to dissolve a hollow ceramic vessel and then pouring it back into the vessel.
The water can then come back up the tube.
Once the water reaches a pressure of about 100 pounds per square inch (psi), it can be pumped back into a hollow vessel.
This hollow vessel can then pump the water back up into the cavity to be used for other uses.
The new technology could also save money.
RO can be used to make things like kitchen knives, but only in very small amounts.
