Miami-Dade County Health Department spokeswoman Alicia Smith said that an official has identified the vessel as a “floating medical vehicle” that is undergoing repairs.
Smith said that the vessel is scheduled to be towed to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
A total of six of the vessels listed in the records have been cited by the Department of Transportation for violating a variety of federal and state laws.
In an email to The Associated Press, a DOT spokesman said that two of the vehicles had been suspended from operating for “non-compliance” with federal and Florida laws.
The DOT is still assessing what the violations are, and if any fines will be imposed.
Smith did not provide details about the repairs.
The DOT is looking into whether there was a breach of the federal health care law by the vehicle’s operator.
